As our director Nick steps back from running the day-to-day, we are looking for someone who can help coordinate our team to ensure design projects (eg. logo designs, leaflets, websites, etc) are moving along at the right pace.
This is an opportunity to help a wide range of clients, from small charities and churches to growing businesses. You won’t know what the next call will bring and the opportunity to help passionate people grow their idea can be exceptionally rewarding.
That is, they would manage our team through a project and communicate with clients on a regular basis by phone, email and through our project management system.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems for people; is self-motivated; organized; can give opinions on design (but doesn’t need to be a designer); can communicate complicated concepts by phone and email; and can translate a client brief into briefs for a team. Excellent written and spoken English is essential, and a good grasp of maths.
This would be on a freelance contract, initially renewed monthly and then quarterly. Contract renewal will depend on project completion to client satisfaction and within budget. Payment would be £15/hour (same for all the team) on a freelance basis for which you will invoice freshSPRING monthly (i.e. you would be self-employed and responsible for all tax).
The contract would likely take the equivalent of 2-3 hours a day spread throughout the working week (10-15 hours a week). It can be as flexible as you need, and for example would work well around a school run. The main thing is regular availability on a daily basis.
You would have support from Nick, especially for the first 6 months. He will remain responsible for the business overall, strategy and finance, however you would likely quote projects to clients and issue invoices after you have gained sufficient familiarity.
