We apologise if you received a link that seemed to be from us on Sunday 30th December around 2pm. The Skype message was just only a link which was trying to look like it was from Google, by using goo.gl in the link but it wasn’t.
It seems as though our Skype account was hacked and messages sent to all our contacts. We deleted those messages the same day, seemingly before the vast majority saw it due to the holidays, but of course it may mean your contact details may have been compromised.
We believe the risk to be low, but would suggest being a bit more cautious with spam email for a while, as well as updating the password on your Skype Account. Out of an abundance of caution, we will be deleting our Skype account so please do not message us on it. Instead use our secure contact form.
Additionally we have notified the Informations Commissioners Office, where we are registered as a data controller, of the breach and you may contact them.
Apologies for the bother and we hope the rest of 2019 starts more positively.
