We started freshSPRING in 2005, but before that it all began in 1996 when we made a family website.
Nowadays that sounds a little odd having a family site, but this was in the days before Facebook or email addresses which changed if you moved as they were provided by your ISP.
So while perhaps it’s time to take it down in the advent of social media, it continues to live another day with a full upgrade. Mobile-friendly, and an overdue design update.
You’re welcome to browse if you really want to, but we don’t promise any miracles. Though when it was made it was significantly different from other websites, which were often bright green, centred down the middle and with background music.
It was also the basis of the freshSPRING Content Management System (CMS). This was developed to make it easier to add and remove content than the systems at the time – just click ‘add’ to add a page.
But all good things come to an end, and WordPress with its ecosystem of plugins provided the usability and better cost. We don’t mean free, as we use many paid-for professional plugins for both support and stability.
