As part of a package, we can work with you to design a site that reflects who you are. We sit down with you to start to get an idea of your needs and abilities, then look at sites you like and we work from there.

The process is roughly as follows:

1. free 1 hour consultation & demonstration!
2. a quote from fresh SPRING which is valid for 30 days, and if you are happy we ask for 50% down

3. domain names are purchased/transferred and email accounts setup (see hosting)
4. control panel (statistics, accounts, help and advice) and content management system (menus, pages, modules) are installed
5. general site structure is inserted (eg. 6 menus with pages under each section)

6. bringing together design ideas, for example: "I like the colours here" and "This site has the feel I am trying to achieve"
7. initial design draft and refinements together
8. final draft of the design is approved and finished
9. alpha and beta testing (checking it's ok)
10. Search Engine Optimisation (pre-launch), i.e. making sure the code is in the best format

when content done ... launch!

11. final 50% or remainder of invoice due
12. Search Engine Optimisation (post-launch),  i.e. getting it linked, in search engines, etc.
13. site review after 6 months

This often takes about 2 month start to finish, though it could be much quicker. It all depends on how much of the content you already have together, and in what format.

For example, knowing you want 'this here' and 'that there' is good but if it is in your head or on paper that may cause delay. If it's been typed up, however roughly, there is a starting point. The same goes for scanning pictures that you'd like to see on the site, so get going!

But don't worry, you really don't need to know anything, and we can and do often help with all of the above :)

Depending on how much you know, we'll walk you through the process and teach you at your level. But to do that you need to request your consultation!

The entire site is held together under the 'control panel' which keeps everything together, even our contacts.

Pages are easy to update with a 'Content Management System' that is like using a word processor.

Menus and pages can be moved around, deleted and added whenever you like, and the site automatically updates to show these changes in real time.

There is a lot of powerful functionality under simple headings which is updated as part of your hosting. If you need something 'a la carte', we can usually create it!
