Our 7th Birthday Jubilee!

We can hardly believe it, but today – the 7th of June 2012 – is freshSPRING’s 7th birthday! Our first thoughts are to praise God for helping us to stay in business for so long; our second to thank our clients and team without whom this just wouldn’t be possible.

Rather than just being gushy (there’s been enough of that this Jubilee weekend) we thought we’d recap some memorable moments.

• Meetings in Starbucks every Sunday before church, usually with a tasty morsel … until Nick realised his preferred drink and croissant was over 1,000 calories.
• Incorporated as three brothers in Manchester on 07/06/05 with a lawyer in the middle of an empty church, we celebrated with hunks of cheese and soup in a local pub.
• As mobile became increasingly more powerful we’ve had some surreal moments like updating a domain name’s settings while on a boat in the middle of the lake district or rebooting a server walking down the street.
• Building our own Content Management System in the days before user-focused ones arrived (like WordPress) was a labour of love but was – and still is – keeping many sites going strong.
• Running a growing company inevitably means some growing pains, especially when more systems are needed to keep track of it all but slowly this is becoming a joy, saving time.
